Description

Pancake for kids

Ingredients

  • 1 1⁄4 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tabelspoon sugar
  • 75 g of butter (three-quarters of a package)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cups milk

Instructions

1. Sift twice through a sieve flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. 2. Melt the butter in the microwave or small saucepan. 3. Beat the eggs, gradually, into the hot butter. 4. Beat the milk and vanilla into the butter and eggs mixture. 5. Mix the dry ingredients with a whisk for a few seconds. 6. Pour the liquid with a spoon to the dry mixture, and mix it all. Even if a few small lumps remain not so bad, the mixture soon unite. Delay on at least half an hour. 7. Heat a large non-stick frying pan over a medium-high flame. (No need to grease. If using a pan without butter Fry Teflon coating). 8. Pour batter spoons to the hot pan where possible. 9. After about a minute, or upon small bubbles appear, remove the pancake from the pan. 10. Piling up a huge pile, as far as stability allows, place a cube of butter at the top of the tower and serve with maple syrup, chocolate or strawberry; jams; nuts and dried fruits; fresh fruit and other add-ons sweet fancy.
