Israeli Couscous

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon canola oil / olive
  • 2 onions, peeled and finely chopped
  • 1 pack israeli couscous
  • 4 cups boiled water
  • 1 teaspoon boiled water
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons lemon pickled (or grated lemon peel)
  • 2 handfuls of parsley, a chopped coriander and mint, basil leaves, torn into pieces by hand, chopped green onion

Instructions

Add the Ptitim and fry for another minute while stirring. Add the water and salt, cover and cook on low flame for six minutes. Turn off the flame and leave the pot covered for another five minutes. Sprinkle black pepper and any herbs, add the lemons (or grated lemon peel), stir and serve.
